Bison Gold Reports on Current and Planned Exploration Progress on its Manitoba Properties

August 11, 2008 - Toronto, Ontario - Bison Gold Exploration Inc. ("Bison Gold" or the "Company") (CNQ: BGEI) is pleased to update shareholders on field projects presently underway and plans for 2008. Bison Gold's focus for 2008 is expected to be mainly on the Central Manitoba gold project, located in the Bissett-Rice Lake belt of southeast Manitoba, and the Apex gold project, situated near Snow Lake in west-central Manitoba. Other mineral property acquisitions are under consideration.

Initial drill testing of the 3km long Central Manitoba mine structure commenced in 2006 with interesting gold intersections from the Wentworth Vein and the Tene Deep target (see news releases Sept.14/06 and Oct.2/06). Holes CM-06-7(-45°), -8(-66°) and -9(-78°), drilled in 2006 from a single set-up at the west end of the Wentworth Vein, intersected core widths of 4.47gAu/t over 2.01m, 3.63gAu/t over 4.14m, and 1.84gAu/t over 3.31m, respectively. Bison Gold is pleased to report initial results from follow-up drilling which commenced in late 2007 on the Wentworth Vein. Three drill holes, CM-07-1(-45°), -2(-66°) and -3(-78°), were completed from a single set-up at a location 40m west along strike from the previous 2006 intersections at the west end of the Wentworth Vein. Results from these three holes are summarized below.

Drill Hole # Core Interval (m) Core Width (m) True Width (m) Au (g/t)
CM-07-1 21.10-21.53 0.43 0.30 7.1
CM-07-2 29.38-31.29 1.91 0.96 15.5
CM-07-3 52.93-55.72 2.79 0.98 7.0

"These intersections extend the Wentworth Vein to the west," stated Consulting Geologist W.C. Hood, "and appear to confirm the observation that better gold grades occur in steep-dipping portions of the Central Manitoba shear-hosted veins. This may provide an important guide to exploring the Central Manitoba structure, both between the zones mined in its 1927-37 production period and at depth below the old workings."

Hole CM-07-4 was drilled to target the Tene Deep zone at a point 100m west of hole CM-06-10 from the 2006 program. Results from this hole are expected to be returned in February. Drilling is scheduled to resume on the Central Manitoba property during mid-February.

Bison Gold also intends to re-examine their 100% owned Apex gold property in the Snow Lake district of Manitoba. The Apex property has been extensively sampled and drilled by several companies since 1920. This work has included 15 drill holes by Fifty Three Syndicate in 1934, 82 drill holes by Tungold Mines Ltd in 1943-46, 4 drill holes by Placer Development in 1980 and 11 drill holes by Nord Resources Ltd in 1981. Within the Apex zone, gold mineralization has been outlined in a flat-lying, sheeted quartz vein system, hosted by granodiorite near its interpreted roof contact with overlying Burntwood turbidite sediments. Variable gold mineralization has been outlined within a zone which is 200m long northeast-southwest, between 100 and 200m in its northwest-southeast direction, and between 1.5 and 12m thick. The mineralized zone is partially outcropping. In 1997, a pre-NI43-101 resource calculation of 109,000 tons @ 0.107 ozAu/ton with a 15.2 foot average true thickness was made for the Apex zone. It should be noted that this resource estimate is historical in nature, has not been verified by Bison Gold's Qualified Person, and should not be relied upon. Bison Gold is presently assembling and analyzing all available data on the Apex property in order to design a drilling program from which a NI43-101 compliant resource might potentially be calculated, and to further explore the Apex property.

"We are pleased with the progress that has been made in understanding and exploring the Central Manitoba property to date, and look forward to advancing the Apex gold property as well," commented Lucas Ewart, CEO of Bison Gold. "We are now well-financed to pursue these projects, and shareholders can look forward to an exciting year in 2008."

The Central Manitoba drilling program was completed under the supervision of William C. Hood, P.Geo., a Qualified Person under NI 43-101. Drill core was sawed, with half sent to SGS Mineral Services in Red Lake for analysis. Gold analysis was done with a 50g fire assay with gravimetric finish. SGS maintains a quality control program with standards, blanks and duplicates. Blank check samples were also inserted regularly. W.C. Hood has reviewed this news release.

Bison Gold Reports 42.5gau/t/2.43m in Drilling on New Tene East Discovery at Central Manitoba

July 20, 2008 - Toronto, Ontario - Bison Gold Exploration Inc. ("Bison Gold" or the "Company") (CNQ: BGEI) is pleased to report results from its 2008 drill program on the Central Manitoba gold property located in the Bissett-Rice Lake belt in southeastern Manitoba. The Central Manitoba mine, which produced 160,000 ounces of gold during its 1927-37 production period, remains the second largest producer in the belt, next to the recently re-opened San Antonio mine at Bissett.

The 2008 drill program, which totals 3242m, tested a variety of targets along the 3 km long Central Manitoba shear zone structure. Previous smaller drill programs in 2006 and 2007 returned encouraging results from the Wentworth vein and Tene Deep zone. The 2008 program consisted of 16 drill holes which ranged individually from 62m to 452m in drill depth. Of these holes, six were stepouts extending the Wentworth vein along strike to the west, six were drilled between the Kitchener, Tene and Hope shafts along the Central Manitoba zone, three were drilled under the old mine workings, and one was a wildcat hole to the southeast along the prospective gabbro sill. Results on four of the 2008 holes, CM-08-1, -2, -3 and -6 were previously released (see News Release May 23, 2008 ).

Significant gold intersections were returned in holes CM-08-4, -6, -8, -9 and -10, from the 16 hole 2008 program. The remaining holes all intersected strong, locally quartz-veined, shear structures, with anomalous gold values, but grades in these other holes were generally less than 1gAu/t over mineable widths. The significant intersections are summarized below.

Drill Hole # Core Interval (m) Core Width (m) True Width (m) Au (g/t) CM-08-4 CM-08-6 CM-08-8 CM-08-9 CM-08-10
190.92-193.35 2.43 0.83 42.5
and 206.85-209.89 3.04 1.74 10.0
70.70-73.68 2.98 2.41 6.0
including 72.13-73.68 1.55 1.26 10.4
21.57-22.79 1.22 0.86 4.3
29.08-30.37 1.29 0.83 3.7
38.22-40.14 1.92 0.66 6.1

Estimated true widths for the above intersections were calculated from the core angles of veins and schistosity as noted during core logging. The weighted average grades for drill hole CM-08-4 in the above table include assays which were in excess of 1 ozAu/ton (34.3gAu/t), and are uncut for this calculation.

The most interesting results from this program were returned from hole CM-08-4, which was oriented at -55°/015° azimuth, and designed to intersect the Tene mine structure at a depth of roughly 200m at a point about 100m east of the ends of the deep exploration drifts from the 1930s. This drill hole intersected 42.5gAu/t across a core width of 2.43m at 190.92-193.35m, and a second intersection of 10.0gAu/t across 3.04m at 206.85-209.89. These intersections, termed the Tene East zone, occur in sheared gabbro that is quartz-veined and mineralized with chalcopyrite, pyrrhotite and local visible gold. It appears likely that this drill hole has intersected a southeast-plunging extension of the Tene mine veins or possible new en-echelon vein within the Central Manitoba structure.

Drill hole CM-08-6, which was reported in the company's May 23/08 news release, intersected 6.0gAu/t across 2.98m at 70.70-73.68, including 10.4gAu/t over 1.55m at 72.13-73.68. This intersection, called the Tene West vein, is situated between the Tene mine and Wentworth vein, at a point roughly 100m west of the west end of the shallow stopes in the Tene mine. This drill hole was oriented at -50°/015° azimuth and designed to test westerly extension of the mine structure at roughly 50m depth.

Drill holes CM-08-8, -9 and -10 were all drilled from the same set-up, at -45°, -60° and -72° respectively, toward an azimuth of 015°, to test the westerly extension of the Wentworth vein. The Wentworth vein had previously been drilled in both the 2006 and 2007 programs. These holes in the 2008 program were collared at a point 40m west of holes CM-07-1, -2 and -3, which had intersected interesting gold values, including 15.5gAu/t over a core width of 1.91m. Drill holes CM-08-8, -9 and -10 cut 4.3gAu/t across 1.22m, 3.7gAu/t over 1.29m, and 6.1gAu/t across a core width of 1.92m respectively. Drill holes CM-08-11, -12 and -13 were drilled a further 80m west of holes CM-08-8, -9 and -10, and intersected a strong, quartz-veined shear structure, but gold values were low. From the 2006, 2007 and 2008 drilling, the mineralized zone along the Wentworth vein appears to have a strike length of about 120m and is open at depth. Drilling to date along this vein has been very shallow and has not tested below about 50m depth.

"The 2008 drilling program was successful, both in extending the Wentworth vein and locating new exploration targets near the Tene mine," stated Consulting Geologist, William Hood. "The discovery of coarse visible gold, and excellent grades, in the new Tene East zone appears to be a different style of mineralization from the Wentworth and Tene West veins."

Bison Gold intends to undertake a followup drilling program on the Central Manitoba property to test both the new Tene East and Tene West discoveries, further delineate the Wentworth vein to depth, and drill under the old Ogama-Rockland gold mine, situated about 5km southwest of the Central Manitoba mine. The Ogama-Rockland mine produced 45,000 ounces of gold in its 1948-51 production period, and these veins are believed to extend well below the bottom of the mine workings at a depth of 200m.

"These drill results are an exciting development for Bison Gold," said Lucas Ewart, CEO of Bison Gold. "Our systematic approach to exploring the Central Manitoba mine structure is proving successful, and we feel we are on track for a significant discovery in this area. With our recent financing in place, we are prepared to move ahead aggressively with this work."

The Central Manitoba drilling program was completed under the supervision of William C. Hood, P.Geo., a Qualified Person under NI 43-101. Drill core was sawed, with half sent to SGS Mineral Services in Red Lake, and the other half retained for reference. Gold analysis was done by 50g fire assay with gravimetric finish. SGS maintains a quality control program with standards, blanks and duplicates. Blank check samples were inserted regularly and all blanks returned gold assays <0.03gAu/t. W.C. Hood has reviewed this news release.

Bison Gold Exploration Inc. Discovers New Tene West Zone at Central Manitoba

May 23, 2008 - Toronto, Ontario - Bison Gold Exploration Inc. (BGEI - CNQ) ("Bison Gold") is pleased to update shareholders on the company's recent exploration activities, which have been focused mainly on the Central Manitoba gold property located in the Bisset-Rice Lake belt in southeastern Manitoba. The Central Manitoba mine, which produced 160,000 ounces of gold during its 1927-37 production period, remains the second largest producer in the belt, next to the recently re-opened San Antonio mine at Bisset.

In late March, the company completed a 3242 meter drilling program on the Central Manitoba property. Previouys smaller drilling programs in 2006 and late 2007 had returned encouraging results from the Wentworth vein and Tene Deep Zone. The recent drill program comprised 16 holes which ranged individually from 62 meters to 452 meters in drill depth.

Results have been received to date on four of these 16 drill holes, including CM-08-1, -2, -3 and -6. Hole CM-08-1 was drilled directly under the old Hope mine workings, intersecting a strong shear zone, but only minor gold values including 1.0 g/t Au over a drill width of -.30m. Hole CM-08-2 was a wildcat hole drilled several hundred meters southeast of the Hope mine along the prospective gabbro sill, but no significant gold values were cut. Drill hole CM-08-3 was collared between the Tene and Hope shafts, and intersected several strong shear zones, with minor gold values up to 1.1 g/t Au over a drill width of 0.62m.

Drill hole CM-08-6 was drilled between the Wentworth vein, which has been the focus of most of the company's recent drilling, and the Tene mine. This drill hole, oriented at -50°/015° azimuth across the prospective zone, intersected a mineralized, quartz-veined shear zone that returned 6.0 gAult/2.98m [truth width 2.41m] at 70.70-73-68, including 10.4 gAult/1.55m [true width 1.26m] at 72.13-73-68m down hole. This new intersection, being called the Tene West vein, appears to be a strike extension of the Tene mine veins.

Results on the remaining 12 holes will be released as soon as they are received. Also during March, Bison Gold acquired by staking a 41 hectare claim lying immediately south of the Central Manitoba zone. This claim will cover any down-dip extensions that may arise from deeper drilling on the south-dipping Central Manitoba shear structure.

Commenting on the new Tene West discovery, consulting Geologist, William Hood stated: "We are intersecting good mineralization at shallow depths in the area of the Wentworth vein and west of the Tene mine. Historical records indicate that the original Tene No. 1 claim in this area was not owned by the mine in the 1927-1937 production period, but was only leased from others owners for 3 years, and, as a result, was under-explored with only minor production from a zone near the Tene shaft."

Bison Gold has commenced planning for its next drill program on the Central Manitoba property, which will include follow-up holes on the Central Manitoba zone, as well as drilling in the area of the nearby Ogama-Rockland mine which produced 45,000 ounces of gold during its 1948-1951 production period. Drilling is also being planned for the Apex gold property, located near Snow Lake in west-central Manitoba. In the Flin Flon area, Bison is evaluating its 10% back-in interest in Callinan Mining's War Baby claim, adjacent to Hudbay's Triple Seven mine.

"We are anticipating an exciting year for Bison Gold in 2008," said Lucas Ewart, CEO of Bison Gold, "especially in the developing Bissett-Rice Lake gold camp. We are well financed to explore our properties and to pursue other opportunities as they arise."

The Central Manitoba drilling program was completed under the supervision of William C. Hood, P.Geo., a Qualified Person under NI 43-101. Drill core was sawed and sent to SGS Mineral Services in Red Lake for analysis. SGS maintains a quality control program with standards, blanks and duplicates. Blank check samples were also inserted regularly. W.C. Hood has reviewed this news release.
